Looking for motivated and diligent individuals to fill immediate openings we have for drivers/movers. Daily duties include but are not limited to driving a box truck, packing, moving, loading, unloading and set-up of furniture and household goods throughout the state of Michigan. Moves range from just a single item to an entire home or office. Stairways are often involved. 

We will train the right candidates but are looking for team leaders that have previous moving experience. We can work with college students seasonally or around class schedules.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Team leader qualities/experience, ability to provide quality customer service. As a driver you will be the leader of your crew and the face of the company when onsite. 
• Ability to work well with others, listen to instruction. You must work closely with your colleagues to achieve a common goal. 
• Strong work ethic, exercising good judgement and sound decision making. Problem solving and communication skills are important. 
• Clean driving record, ability to pass background check. 
• Ability to lift, carry, and load furniture/heavy objects (75+lbs) while being mindful of surroundings as to not damage walls/doors or items being moved. 
• Ability to work Saturdays. Most people try to move on the weekends so you must be available most Saturdays. We can accommodate time off requests; granted enough notice. 
• Good hygiene and clean appearance. 
• Practice ethical conduct, show responsibility for trucks, equipment, and any damage occurring during duties. 
• Have reliable transportation to work and ability to be on time with a good attitude. Please check distance prior to applying to make sure you are willing and able to make the commute and arrive timely. 
• Demonstrate the ability to protect all furniture from damage through established best practices.
• Pack items in a safe, organized, and efficient manner in preparation for moving.

Uniform:

• Marching Ant Moving Shirt and/or Sweatshirt (Provided by us)
• Shorts, Jeans, Cargo Pants, Athletic Pants (NO sweatpants)
• Pants kept at waist, no undergarments visible. 
• Comfortable and sturdy shoes. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Being friendly and personable (smile, small talk, eye contact) to everyone you come in contact with while in uniform and/or in the company vehicle. 
• Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including but not limited to: damage to customers items/home, damage to company property and/or vehicles, injury, lost or misplaced equipment, unhappy customers.
• Perform daily truck inspection (ex: oil, tire pressure, fuel level, equipment)
• Safely operate trucks and equipment. Be aware of your surroundings!
• Take great care in handling customers belongings (i.e. using pads, home protection tools), treat all customers with respect and professionalism. 
• Communication with crew members and office staff. Drivers check in with the office regularly throughout the day, you must have a reliable phone. 
• Deliver and set-up furniture inside client homes, as required/requested within committed time frames including but not limited to bed frames, mattresses, box springs, dressers, tables, chairs, sofas and lamps.
• Understanding and completion of invoice paperwork after each job. 

Physical Demands: 

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; frequently required to balance, talk or hear; and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to walk forward, backward, side to side, and/or up and down stairs while carrying furniture. 

Work Environment: 

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat or cold weather.
